What apprentices build for construction

Five workflows construction firms ship inside a TESS apprenticeship — every learner builds against your own programme and cost data.

Programme risk

AI-assisted programme risk forecasting

Apprentices build models that compare live schedule data against your historical project library — flagging slip risk weeks before a P50 report would.

Cost

Cost-out forecasting & CVR automation

Train QS teams to replace fragile CVR spreadsheets with reproducible pipelines that pull from accounts, programme and subcontract data.

BIM

Clash detection & BIM data extraction

Use ML on Revit/IFC models to auto-classify components and pre-warn of common clash patterns — reducing late-stage rework.

H&S

Predictive H&S risk monitoring

Apprentices learn to use site sensor and toolbox-talk text data to predict near-miss spikes — turning lagging RIDDOR data into a leading signal.

Tender

Tender win-rate analysis & bid scoring

Build classifiers against your historical tender library to score new opportunities for win likelihood, gross margin and resource risk.

Frequently asked questions

Can site-based staff really fit the hours?

Yes — we deliver to multi-site contractors with a mix of evening live sessions, pre-recorded sprints and protected programmed time aligned to project rotations.

Does this conflict with CITB-funded training?

No — they're separate pots. Apprenticeship levy is for level 2+ apprenticeships; CITB grant funds short courses. We help firms use both in parallel.

How do you handle the project-to-project moves typical in our industry?

The apprenticeship 'belongs' to the firm not the project — when learners move sites we just update the project sponsor.

Will our subcontractors have access?

Only employed staff can be apprenticed by you, but we frequently sell cohort places to delivery partners as a separate engagement.

Can we run a closed cohort across our regions?

Yes — once you hit 8+ learners we'll run a closed cohort and bring coaches to your offices on a rotating basis.
