Is dropping from L5 to L4 a step backwards?

On paper, technically yes — but the content depth in our active L4 is meaningfully higher in the AI/automation dimensions that genuinely matter to operations leaders right now. Talk to your reward team about how this lands on band placement.

Will my existing L5 apprentices still complete?

Yes — existing learners complete on the standard they started. The defunding only affects new starts after the cut-off.

What about CMI/ILM recognition?

CMI Level 5 chartered status is separate from apprenticeship funding. We provide the documentation to support CMI recognition where appropriate.

Can mixed cohorts work — some L3, some L4?

Yes, we routinely run mixed-level cohorts where the shared content is one block and the level-specific content runs alongside.

Can you broker a peer cohort with other defunded-L5 employers?
